Got a little bit later start than we wanted, but all it all, it was dope.

Carmageddon
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa stated last week,
That is why I will be staying at home on that Friday before and Monday after. It is going to be hell.
Pulled from the project's site:
Here are the I-405 freeway closure boundaries for the July 16-17 weekend:
Northbound I-405: 10-mile closure between I-10 and U.S. 101
Southbound I-405: 4-mile closure between U.S. 101 and Getty Center Drive Ramps
On Friday, July 15, ramps along the 10 mile closure will begin to be shut down as early as 7 p.m., and closure of freeway lanes will begin at 10 p.m. to ensure full freeway closure by midnight. The closure will continue until 5 a.m. Monday morning, July 18. Ramps and connectors will be reopened by 6 a.m.

So in other words, stay the hell home!
If you think the 405 is gridlocked during the week, you haven’t seen anything yet. My message is to stay home. Or go on vacation. Walk. Go on a bike. But do not get in your car and go anywhere near the West Side. It’s going to be a mess.

Old fire photos
I was digging through my old photos on my PC and I found the shots from the Buckweed fire in 07. Worth another look if I do say so myself. Scarey night though. Really hard to sleep when you are worried about everything in your house turning to ash.
I'll share more as I find more interesting photos.
